Expedit Lack hack for child’s room

Materials: 2 x Expedit, 4 cube bookcases, 4 Lekman boxes, 1 Lack table (only used legs).

Painted Expedit pieces with undercoat and then Dulux ‘Peppermint Fresh’ colour.

Assembled Expedit leaving out one of the small pieces on one of the bookcases. Reinforced other small piece side with glue (Liquid Nails).

Drilled holes and attached clothes rail.

Using 4 legs from the Lack table – attach each leg to the top of one Expedit with glue and screw in L brackets from hardware store.

Attach 4 more L brackets to top of legs with screws.

Position other Expedit on top and glue and screw.

Attach both Expedit cases to the wall using IKEA’s pre drilled anchor points and make sure unit is secure enough for a child to possibly climb on.
