Objective: Looking for a slim buffet/sideboard on a budget

I did some research and measurements. I wanted to have a unit that is slim and to be 180cm in length.

I purchased the following:

  1. 3x FAKTUM (60w X 70h cm) $30.00 each=$90
  2. 6x ABSTRAKT (30w x 70h cm) Door high-gloss white $20 each=$120
  3. 2x PERFEKT NORJE cover panel 195cm $100=$200
  4. 6x INTEGRAL hinge (pack of 2) $5=$30
  5. 3x UTRUSTA Push opener (pack of 2) $10=$30
  6. 3x FAKTUM legs $10=$30

    Hi Victoria,

I’m sure you can buy a pre-made sideboard for $500.
Everyone’s “budget”, taste and needs are different. I customise this to my liking and needs.

There are many ways to do this and could be more cost effective eg.
You could save instantly if you use HÄRLIG doors ($5) $30 instead of $120 without changing the overall look.
Using other cover panels and putting more joins would make a price differences. Hope that helps, thanks looking and your opinions :)

Now this submitter had something specific in mind and price wasn’t that much of an issue, but most of the things used here can regularly be found in the ‘take as is’ section, at least at my local IKEA.

So if you’re lucky or go there regularly and pick up things a few items at a time then it doesn’t have to be so expensive.
