Ideas charge

RANSBY iPad Charging Rack

Materials: Ransby plate rack

Description: This is hardly a hack, just putting an item to different use.

We bought a couple of these years ago and never really used them. In the meantime the whole family became iPad owners, and most evenings they would be spread across the kitchen worktop charging overnight.

Having a clear out and I had the idea of using the Ransby to stand the iPads in while they charge, and voila, one slightly tidier overnight charging solution.

Owning about half a dozen tablets (for professional reasons), I had this exact idea about a year ago. My choice is a BOHOLMEN dish drainer. Its soft plastic doesn’t do any damage, and its basket is used to store all the wall warts when not in use.

Apparantly it’s not available in all countries, but it’s one of the cheaper items here in Germany:

(Somewhat related: In my office, I use another BOHOLMEN to temporarily keep incoming mail sorted, and the basket is used to store pens and scissors. Much more convenient than huge letter trays.)

I use the rack to store my potholders and cutting boards. :)
    Works like a charm!

    Th’at’s a good Idea… I often buy things that I don’t really use !!!

this would work well with a charging station like this one I found on this website.
