Building GRUNDTAL wall shelf without fixing to the wall


Materials: GRUNDTAL

Description: I think GRUNDTAL kitchen system is useful also for small kitchen design. But not be accepted to hole in the wall at room for rent. So I tried to attach GRUNDTAL wall shelf with a tension rod without linking it to the wall. Tutorial page is in the following link.

    Great idea – but there is a major failure mode of those tension rods come loose! If you use this idea, make sure those are held in very well.

    • Thank you for your comments. It is important things that choose firm tension rod as told you.
      I’ve used about 5 months, Tension rod is still stable. I think the force applied to the rod is not so large. But I also noticed that I should care the wall shelf lean to the front. I added this point to the linked article. Thanks!
