You could recycle damaged sheets with this too, I have a queen sheet with an irreparable tear right down the side, but otherwise in great condition, and I love the pattern on it so much. My dudero lamp has a tear in the paper and I was thinking of retiring it, but I will use the sheet to make a new shade – and it will match my linen! Thanks for the idea!

Hello, I have two lamps similar from Ikea but the paper has torn and I’ve been wanting to do this. I can’t tell by your photos how you got the fabric to attach to the round base & top. If you would let me know that would be great! This looks really good! Thanks!

did you treat the fabric? Is it safe so close to the light bulbs?
Love it though! Was thinking of doing the same thing yesterday with my wornout square example (magnarp)
