ReplyDeletethat IS clever !
ReplyDeleteKudos to you, that is an amazing hack!
ReplyDeleteLove your hack :)
ReplyDeleteyou can afford an eames lounge chair...go buy a real side table
ReplyDeleteRude much?
DeleteYou seem like the kind of person who pleasures themselves looking at Eames chairs.
Delete...and you can afford to keep your opinion to yourself. This is a very well done hack indeed.
Deletemean spirited comments achieve nothing, this is a very well thought out and executed hack.
Deletewell done
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiousity, how easily does the top layer move around? Is there any lock in place for this hack to keep it from rolling too easily?
ReplyDelete(P.S. This is super cool and I do want to do it)
if the rails you buy dont include any kind of home location where it locks in, id imagine you could easily achieve this by filing a slight groove in the location of the rails where the wheels would rest in the fully closed position. i guess the deeper the groove the more pronounced the locking effect
DeleteSmart idea! Well done!
ReplyDeleteSide Rails are not included in your material list.
ReplyDeletewill table tip over easily when top is opened?
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to know the dimensions of where you cut.
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you added some two-bys in the LACK after removing the honeycomb?
ReplyDeleteone question.
ReplyDeletewhen you remove the honeycomb and push the top layer piece to the bottom, what do you put on the sides of the hole?
