Rast Speaker Stands

Materials:
1x Rast Nightstand, a Saw

Description: I've always admired the Frosta Speaker Stand hack posted last year but the stools were discontinued and I had a devil of a time finding them second-hand. So like any good hacker I started looking for a replacement that would achieve the same basic effect and came across the Rast Nightstand. Simple, cheap and in ample supply at my local Ikea store.

The construction is dead simple:
1. Cut 1 shelf 5 inches off both ends (to use the pre-drilled holes)
2. Cut the other shelf 3 inches off both ends.
3. Mount the 5 inch section on the bottom to serve as the leg.
4. Mount the 3 inch section on the top to serve as the speaker back to keep it from slipping off.

That's it! From here you can wax, stain, paint whatever your little hacker heart desires.

    1. I suppose I should have mentioned this in the original post. 1 Rast Nightstand makes 2 speaker stands.
