ReplyDeleteA couple of marine strength poyurethane deck coats would go along way to protect the paint finish from the inevitable from water splashes.

Wow, June - looks fantastic. I always loved this piece but at 199cm it is too wide for our small bathroom. May I trouble you for the width measurement from outer legs to outer legs? We might consider copying your work, but cut down the top piece to be flush with the legs if the new size will fit better. Many thanks and keep up the good work!

Anonymous annoyed about size: you can always use the FORHOJA, it's about half of the NORDEN length and almost the same depth.

Diana, don't be jealous, June is quite lucky, none of ours bathrooms was ever that big, and we moved a lot and lived in different cities of France. And when they are is mainly because the french put heir washing machines in the bathrooms (yehh weird! ;-) )

ReplyDeleteI have a Norden that I'd like to refinish. It sounds like you did not sand the bench, but used a paint remover, is that right? Did you just use pure acetone? If so, how much acetone did it take to remove the 'coating' that's on the original Norden.
