Home Lab Rack

Materials: BJÖRKUDDEN Table Table

Description: I was looking for an elegant solution to hold my Cisco gear for my CCNA certification. I stumbled upon the BJÖRKUDDEN Table which I can stain to my tastes.

However, it is about 4 times too large. After resizing it to 17.5", I added rails to slide in my Cisco gear.

  2. Good luck on getting certified! I'm on the road to CCIE, so I know where you're coming from. It's definitely worth it :)

You could have saved some money with the LackRack http://wiki.eth-0.nl/index.php/LackRack but this one is cool too.

  3. Wow, they don't give you lab time? I was thinking about the CCNA but that's a lot of hardware to buy o_O

    1. I had limited lab time. Did all my 'home work' using the emulator I was provided. It helped with the configurations, but I did enjoy hands-on experience.

  4. Any ideas where to get used cheap Cisco routers and switches? I have tried to Google, but haven't found anything. I live in Finland, but I am able to buy from Amazon etc.

  5. @Unique: try eBay. @ae2: lots of simulators online will give you experience, lab time can be rented too. I'd say the submitter is just a bit geekier than you or me. ;-)
