Cheap and Easy Coloring Table for your Kid!

Materials: MALA roll of paper, tension rod, dining room table

I wanted to make a coloring table for my son without purchasing another table and without paying the hefty price. So I used our dining room table. I attached a roll of paper using a tension rod and created the same look and function for $5!

See more of the coloring table.

I was trying to figure out how and where to install hardware to our expandable IKEA dining table to create the option for an art table for our boys. This simple idea never occurred to me! This is brilliant!! Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Jules,

Thanks for the Ikea tips. LOVE IKEA!!! I have seen hacks for hanging garbage under the kitchen sink using paper towel holders. I think that this tension rod would be perfect.
