Materials: LJUSA dynamo torch
Description: It was time to replace the batteries from our daughters toy piano. But instead I removed them all and mounted inside the piano some components (gearbox and electronics) from the IKEA LJUSA dynamo torch.
I just needed to drill some holes and solder two wires, that's all.
Now the piano will never be short of energy.

And it looks almost perfect. Maybe you can find some flat heat screws... but it's already a wonderful, eco-friendly idea!!!
And what if we change the capacitor, that seem not to be good enough at storing energy, in order to improve the performance. I'm just wondering, because I do not have any knoledge on the electricity field...

ReplyDeletenooooo- don't you know noisy kids toys are supposed to have batteries... so parents can use the "no you can't use it honey- we don't have any charged up batteries" excuse and save their sanity???!!!

ReplyDeleteUsually, I think I am clever for ordering a set (2x what is called-for) of eneloop batteries when I buy a new battery-op device. I shall have to revise my opinion! :D
