LATT Chalkboard Play Table

Materials:
LATT Table and chair set

Description: The LATT table set is a perfect height for my 2 year old plus at a great price ($25 in Canada), I couldn't beat it.

I decided to convert it into a little chalkboard table! Here's how I did it:

Note: before assembly of product:

1. I spray painted each wooden piece with an Aqua blue colour (satin finish). I let it dry a few hours.

2. I took the white table base and paint it using Chalkboard paint. I followed directions on can and used two coats. I let it dry overnight.

3. I assembled the LATT set as per Ikea directions.

4. I made little pillows for the chairs using a foam base.

My daughter loves it! Thanks for looking!

  2. Hi, my wife and I have decided on a child-free lifestyle. As this post directly opposes my personal viewpoint, I consider it offensive, and request that it be removed from the site.

  5. @ Anonymous (September 7th) You are now forbidden from shopping at IKEA, or any other store for that matter, for fear of seeing children. In fact, just stay home and stop surfing the net or television altogether.

Just kidding. The webs is open to all offending comments. Please continue reading and commenting. You're entitled to it.

  6. I love this! I've been looking for a table to create a chalkboard table for my preschool integrated classroom and this seems PERFECT!
Has it held up well? And is it durable for play time?
