LACK Hack: Vintage Suitcase Table

Materials: LACK side table, vintage suitcase, plywood, drill, screws, red paint, Sharpie

Description: My NYC apartment desperately lacked storage space, so I set out to make a fun side table that would double as board game storage.
I created a dummy table that would fit under the vintage flea market suitcase, screwing the legs from the LACK side table into a thick piece of plywood that I had painted to match. I then attached the table to the bottom of the suitcase with strong screws and bolts, and voila!

Using a Sharpie,I drew a dandelion onto the leftover LACK table top and hung it as wall art.

did you have to buy a certain paint for it to adhere to the suitcase and lack?

  10. Thanks for the link, Anna!
Also: The LACK table was miraculously the same color as the suitcase, so I didn't have to paint it. On the blue one, I took the suitcase with me to a hardware store and matched the color to a paint for the legs.

    1. The dandelion was just done freehand with a Sharpie; no paint or prep.
