    @Anonymous I’m talking about the post a comment dialogue that says “Don’t say anything that you won’t say in front of your mom or daughter.” I’m nobody’s mom but I AM someone’s daughter, and if things had been different I’m certainly old enough to have been someone’s mom.

    Why not “don’t say anything that you wouldn’t say in front of your parent or child?” Women don’t burst into flames when people swear any more than men do and our presence shouldn’t be invoked in the name of civility, especially when it comes with the implication that we wouldn’t be interested in reading this site.
