    Cool, I’d think you’d want to coat/paint the whole thing with polyurethane to protect it from moisture….waterproof

    The metal bits on the front bits (I know, I am clarity itself), what are they made from? Did you but any metal on the runners for added slideability (doesn’t look like it so I thought I’d ask)? Fantastic idea. A true hack!

    Anon @ 3:11pm – Yes, they are the same thing. America English – Sled, British English – Sledge.

    I too would love to see this in action. I am having trouble picturing how it would work. Even so, it is a nice use of materials.
