hopen to store all your dvds?

daniel, a self-professed slave to the ikea lifestyle, and a hacker by heart, has repurposed the hopen dresser into a hip dvd cabinet.

he says, "i really liked the hopen dressers, and when i saw them at ikea, i noticed the semi-transparent glass, and started getting ideas. a large format printer, some 3600 DPI scans, some Office Depot poster roll paper, and about two days of construction, and you get this."

  1. This is a great hack. I have been looking for a way to store DVD's and CD's - I wonder if this would work for CD's as well or for a mix of CD/DVD.

  2. I love the large-format prints! While I really wish I had a large-format scanner and printer, I'm betting something like The Rasterbator would work great here.

  5. We used to own a movie rental store and have almost 3000 DVDs to store. I've been searching for a way and I think this is it! Thanks!
