mini chests before their makeover
here's melisaur's take on them. love the pasted on panels of patterns. and it's probably a lot easier than painting. not only that, three months down the road, should you tire of them, just tear them off and paste on the pattern du jour.

i stumbled across this a few days ago and thought of ikeahacker. i'm glad to see it featured here! great idea.
ReplyDeletejules you just got a kitchen hack here! how about a spice storage chest? or a baking accessories (cookie cutters, piping bags and ends, candy paper cups, muffin paper cups, etc.) storage chest? or a kitchenaid stand mixer attachment chest (if they fit the drawers - dunno, really)?
ReplyDeletei'm stylehivin' this for my next ikea shopping trip.... this is definitely going to be a kitchen or craft room item!

monica, glad to see you here.
ReplyDeletejulie, you're right, i think it is great for craft - knick knacks, buttons and all those small things.
I have used them for cd storage - they're the perfect size, so long as you don't mind not being able to see your whole collection.
