money, or rather, the lack of it, often leads to neat hack ideas. here’s one from laura and fiancee, marco, using the ivar system.

“on june 2005 my fiancee and i moved in our new house, sold almost every piece of furniture we had and started fresh, obviously with a lot of help from ikea.

we have a nice dressing room and the ikea’s options for furnishing it (pax or stolmen system) were way too expensive. so my fiancée had this idea: why not use ivar, probably the cheapest line of ikea furniture ever made … with a little hacking? 🙂

for every “shelving” unit we used the following:
