OR
1. Purchase four 6 foot wooden dowels from your local hardware store
2. Stain them a walnut colour or leave them natural
3. Lay one panel of a curtain out onto the floor.
4. Lay down your wooden dowels on the floor in a triangle position with the two tops crossing over the fabric.
5. Using the dowels as a guide, cut the fabric 2 inches longer than the dowels on both sides. Cut 3 triangles making sure that the scalloped edge is on the ‘bottom’ of the teepee triangle
6. Using one of your fabric triangles, size the door panels. You will want the scalloped edges to be in the insides of the door panels. You may want the door panels to be longer than the other sides to create a draping effect.
7. Time to sew! Hem the tops. Sew all sides together with the ‘wrong’ sides (the sides which show your hem) facing each other. Flip your teepee inside out and sew each side again, . This will create a ‘tube’ which the poles will fit into.
8. To set up, fit the poles through the ‘tubes’ of the teepee. Use rope to tie the teepee poles together and help maintain its shape. Use flowers at the top if you wish.
9. Enjoy your lovely lace teepee
