Two love seats make one super long sofa

KARLSTAD_4seat

Materials: 2 x KARLSFORS Love seat, 3x BESTÅ leg (2 pack)

Assemble love seat, leaving off right arm on left love seat, left arm on right love seat. Do not attach legs. Tilt love seat on floor to have access to underside. Remove nuts & bolts from one arm. Butt two love seats side by side, and insert bolts into holes meant to secure arms. Tighten nuts as much as possible.

Insert 4 BESTÅ legs into left and right arms with supplied bolt. Place remaining 2 BESTÅ legs centred between love seats and aligned with other front and back legs. Use wood screw with large head to secure. Use two people to tilt sofa back into upright position.

Do the Best legs and the Karlsfors legs match? If they do, then yay. If not, could extra Karlsfors legs be purchased?

The love seats should be Karlstad http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/70139107/#/90139111
You can use the original legs for the karlstad since you will have 8, but for the middle 2 you will have to drill into the frame with a wood screw or get the extra threads from ikea and predrill between the 2 frames. I prefer the look of the Besta legs to be more sleek and they thread into the same holes as the karstad legs.

Do you think you could post some pictures of the bottom? We are looking to do this in our living room. Thanks so much!

Just FYI, it looks like someone else has copied this, don’t know if it’s with permission or not.
