This is a very easy hack that expands the creative space in your living space:

1. Purchase a primer, chalkboard paint and foam rollers. I used Rust-Oleum Corporation 00608 Primer, because I’d read that it covers Ikea furniture well and is also perfect for laminate surfaces.

2. Prime the surface with the Primer.

3. Apply at least 3 coats of Krylon Chalkboard Paint Special Purpose paint on the surface with foam roller. Wait to dry between applications. The foam roller is perfect for this because it applies the paint evenly which is what you want for a chalkboard.
