Good Morning Makeup Vanity

Materials: Malm dressing table

We converted the Ikea Malm dressing table into a fancied up Makeup Vanity by adding a mirror, hair appliance caddy and drawer handle.

For the first step, we installed a board across the back of the vanity to add extra support for the mirror.

Next, we installed 2 L brackets on each side to support the mirror vertically.

We screwed the mirror to the L brackets and now it all works as one unit. The vanity sits in front of a window, so we had to be able to pull the entire unit out as one piece.

We added a drawer pull to stop the drawer wobble.

Lastly, we added a plug mold and hair appliance caddy to the side. We contemplated hiding the plug mold under the makeup vanity on the inside leg, but because the side of the vanity is hidden from view, so are the cords.
