TOFTA Fireplace Surround

Used pieces of Besta Tofta Bamboo (cut piece for sides and draw fronts for top pieces) to cover ugly green tiles around fireplace. Then used Besta Tofta Black on floor for one piece gloss fireplace threshold.
Granite estimate of $2800 finished all in for under $150.

Isn’t the point of the tiles around the fireplace to be a nonflammable buffer between the firebox and the wood trim? This hack has covered those up with a flammable material. I’d be scared…

I love this! I have the same type of fireplace- the tile is just for looks as the fire box is completely insulated and not intended to produce heat. I think this is the BEST hack I’ve seen! Way to go!
