Lego Lamp Love

Once I laid eyes on the Bran lamp, I knew what I had to do.

This hack is super simple, just loosen the ‘cap’ with a hair dryer and fill it up. The heat from the hair dryer weakens the glue so the top pops right off. I must say though that I was rather afraid the glass might shatter; as it is there is a small crack on the glass so keep the heat even.

Once done I closed the cap and sealed it up with blu tack so that I can add more bricks or change it up as needed!

I like your choice of colors! Looks like fire! ;)

I did the exact same thing with my lamp! Except the hair dryer method did not work. My husband and I tried that, along with pouring boiling water over it. What finally worked was him taking a screw driver into the edge and banging it with a hammer…sounds like it would break, but ours was fine.

Super work. Nice colours and great juxtaposition of the sharp block angles with the curvy glass.

  4. Such a clever idea and really original. I wonder how it would turn out it you combined the lego bricks with family lights too.
