RUBRIK to coffee table

Coffee table view 2, showing CAPITA legs

Materials: RUBRIK, CAPITA legs, wood planks

Description: We’re going with a beach theme in our front room, to facilitate this we’ve placed a couple of white chairs and a white bookcase in the room. I wanted to add a complimentary coffee table to the mix but was not having any luck. Until I stumbled across a RUBRIK (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30215532/) in the as is.

I bought a length of wood and had it cut down into two planks that fit just inside the frame cutout on the underside of the RUBRIK. After painting both pieces white, I glued them onto the glass and then drilled four holes into the corners and added a set of CAPITA 8″ legs. Voila!
