Pallet BESTA TV unit

Materials: Besta + pallet + xmas lights

Description: I wanted to change the look of the standard Besta unit, adding a back panel to store some tech stuff.

I found a pallet, painted it white, adjusted the size/shape to my needs.

Placed the pallet vertically and fixed to the Besta unit with L shaped metal fixing (screws on Besta are under the top, so can be removed with no visible damage)

Then the idea… I placed some led lights (old x’mas light chain) using a flexible tube for electricity wires (just make some go through holes and place the LEDs inside)

I then fixed a flat panel, at the back there is enough space for all the things you want to hide (adsl box, plugs, sockets, wires… whatever)

The final result is pretty nice (if you like the industrial look of course).

Next step might be Dioder colour changing LED bars, which will add the colour changing feature.

So far: cost for the hack…zero! All materials used are recycled + bits and pieces left from previous DIY projects.
