Modern free-standing hall tree

Materials: Ikea Besta

Description: I had a hard time finding a modern hall tree; therefore I decided to build one myself using Ikea parts.

Desired functions:
- Shoe storage
- Bench for sitting while putting or taking off shoes
- Hangers for coats and bags

The bottom part is made out of two Besta cabinets with doors.

The back panel is made out of three tall Besta cabinet doors resting vertically on the base cabinet. The three big doors are stitched together and to the bottom cabinet using several wood strips from a hardware store.

The upper shelves as well as the spot lights are also from Ikea.

Currently, the tree hall is almost finished. It just needs a cushion on the bench for a finished look and a more comfortable siting.
