You decorated it, and that's nice, but this is absolutely not a hack.
ReplyDeleteIt IS a hack if you consider the definition in the "about"-section of this blog. "IkeaHackers.net is a site about modifications on and repurposing of Ikea products. Hacks, as we call it here, may be as simple as adding an embellishment, some others may require power tools and lots of ingenuity."
DeleteWhowever can put whatever the heck they want in the "about" section, this is still not a "hack". Perhaps the website should be split into two where one site shows actual hacks ("Ikeahackers.net"), and the other shows pictures Ikea items that have been decorated (i.e. "IkeaDecorated.net"). There is a huge difference.
Deleteof course it's a hack. the chair went to be a throne. would you like to see the dresser ( a lamp, a spatula, etc...) going to be a throne to call it a hack? I agree with you for some "hacks" here, like I think I have seen decorated frames, etc, but I would not complain. After all I am not able to build any blog and specially keep it alive every day. And you, do you have a blog? No? Too bad for you.
DeleteAlso, if you actually look at the backs of the chairs, the throne is completely different.
DeleteHi - the above is a child's chair - not *actually* a throne. And I'm not sure what you're rambling about after that with inability to keep a website alive, etc, but it makes about as much sense as calling the above a "throne". Please remember that you're an adult - try acting like one.
DeleteYeesh - how separated from reality are the people on this site?
This is cute. Every girl seems like she just wants to be a princess. This will make those princesses very happy I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI like a broad definition for "hack." To me, the site should show the public the different things they can do with Ikea products. This throne qualifies.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! Wish I had a little princess to make one for.
