Lack sofa table platform bed
Materials: LACK sofa table, 5 2x4's, plywood, screwgun
Description: Screw a 2x4 to the wall at the same height as top of Lack table. connect 4-5 2x4's to that board and Lack table with screws. Cut plywood to fit your size bed. Also can use coffee table, this bed sits very high.

ReplyDeleteWhat did you use to re-enforce the sofa table? Ikea says its maximum load is 44lb (20kg).
Doesn't look very...love-proof...
ReplyDeleteThis is the best one yet for my bed needs, but I'm not quite sure how it's attached to the wall and held up - or, as everybody else is saying, how sturdy it'd be for...couples.
ReplyDeleteIf the 2x4's are connected to the wall studs with, say, 4" screws there will be no "couple" issues with this design. The wall will fall down before the bed.
ReplyDeleteUse 2 Lacks then, but I'd use Expedits so there would be storage.
