Two Expedits for the price of one
Materials: Expedit
Description: We just assembled the Expedit, and cut through it in half - giving us two Expedits, just narrower. On one of the halves, we fastened on plywood and pushed it into the hole in the wall.
On the second half we added metal corners to brace it and hung it on the wall.

Ok, now THIS is brilliant! Well done, folks!
ReplyDeleteREALLY love the one that's half in the wall! Looks brilliant!
ReplyDeleteIn that first pic - is it *on* the wall, or *in* the wall? If it's *in" I'd love to hear more info.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the half that is set in the wall!! I would be a little concerned about the strength/stability of the other one just mounted on the wall over time? Unless having it be half the width & weight makes it easier to support long term?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Curious as to what you used to cut the entire thing in half.
ReplyDeleteFor interior design I always prefer on simple but stylish furniture that is made for eye catching. I've got some idea from your blog to create some furniture for my new design plan.
ReplyDeleteThis wooden design is very well structured, designed and its really looking brilliant. If you add more kids bedroom accessories your child will definitely love it.
ReplyDeleteSo good and organized! So perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool. :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same idea before but I need it for few hundreds of book.
ReplyDeleteHow stable is this structure "in half"? Is it not each inner shelf fastened just by one wooden peg on every side?
Nice !
ReplyDeleteBut just out of curiosity, how exactly do you cut it in half ?... With what ? o_O
Love this!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant! 2 birds one stone and it looks again on a wall!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Brilliant! I'd like to know how did you cut the Expedit double panel. I'm thinking about something similar but I don't know how to do that and how to place them (after the cut)on the wall(I need to cut some Lack and Expedit double panel).
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for my English, I hope you understood anyway! Thank you!
Valentina
