Expedit TV furniture

Materials: Expedit, Besta, Vika Amon

Description: I had an Expedit 5x1 and wanted to make a TV furniture. Problem was the width for the surround set and the DVD player. The solution was to resize some wood and make also more space for the Surround speaker, Xbox360, iTV and tweeters.

The solution is on the pictures, because the furniture was very low `I placed 5 Besta feet and also place a Vika Amon above the Expedit (after cutting 5"). Some chrome feet to make some more distance between the Expedit and Vika Amon.

Voila!

  1. It looks really interesting and never found a solution to integrate the 5.1 sound system to my IKEA system... but the combination with the XBox and the speakers is great... great blog - didn't know about it before - but will come back to get more IKEA ideas :)

  2. What shelf or wood did you use to make/use for where the surround is, since that is wider than the 13 inches if the expedit standard shelves?!?!

  4. This is a pretty neat way of making the most out of your furniture. I have been to a bachelor pad that similarly has this theme in mind and his Facebook post showed that he found a leather lounge in Perth that he then added to his 'mancave.' It feels very homey but you'll definitely find that it was made by a guy.
