My dark Lack table attracts dust like it's a dust magnet. How does that work with this hack? Does the varnish help make it easier to clean? I'd like to do something with mine as well, but the dust problem has held me from it so far.
ReplyDeleteIt would proparbly be hard to dust this but maybe it could be vaccumed...?
DeleteSuperb idea. I think I'll do it in my small table and send you a snap.
ReplyDeleteYou can varnish it with acrylic varnish using either brush or roller. With two or three layers the varnish will cover up all the lace hollows and eventually smooth it, so it'll be very easy to clean with a cloth. A glass at the top, or a piece of plastic would work as well.
ReplyDeleteI would tack it down temporarily and just mist spray paint over it then remove the lace. Seal with varathane spray
