I like it!
ReplyDeleteHow do you do the manuals? Just regular illustrator or is there some magic tool?
The magic tool is SolidWorks a 3D CAD program. I build the parts and assembly with SolidWorks and exported it to Illustrator. Maybe it works with google-sketch-up too... that's freeware so fare I know.
DeleteI think this is amazing and beautiful ;) and you share it all with the homemade manual : just great !!! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteVery creative! I think my cats may like this as a perch so they can look down on me in more ways than one :-)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing, Snappy! Well, after I got excited about using it for books & niknaks, I realized my five furries would quickly take it over!
Deletethat's darn genial, pal. All of it. Fab! Thanks and high five :D
ReplyDeletethis is the best hack's manual i've ever seen! and the hack is great too..thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I wish I was as talented!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Frosta is no longer available in the US, as are several other really cool Ikea products. This is a great hack and, if I could get my hands on the table, I would definately find a place for it in my home. The cat idea is a good one.
ReplyDeleteDas isch denn patänt!
ReplyDeletePippa
You are a genius.
ReplyDeleteI immediately saw a cat tree, too. Ikea, bring back Frosta to the US please! (Just in case someone at the home office reads this blog.)
ReplyDeleteReal hack, real genius ! Thanks for sharing !
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite of your FROSTA hacks. It is a piece if art! You should submit it to Ikea for their designer series. Then we will find it sold in their shops for 1000x the price of FROSTA original ;) Love this!
ReplyDeleteLooks nice. Can use it to hold decor pieces in the living room.
ReplyDeleteThis series of Frosta hacks are some of the best I've seen artistically since I joined Ikea-Hackers ~6 ms ago. Before that I'd never heard of a Frosta stool/table.
ReplyDeleteIKEA, *please* bring back this awesome piece of inspiring furniture!!!
Until then, guess I'll be hitting up CraigsList in hopes of snagging a few second-hand.
Many thanks for the great feedbacks!
ReplyDeleteIt's cool to share my ideas with you and I hope you are inspired to build some new Frosta Hacks (a to w) or build my hacks.
SEND ME PICTURES!
