ReplyDeleteHow do you do the manuals? Just regular illustrator or is there some magic tool?
The magic tool is SolidWorks a 3D CAD program. I build the parts and assembly with SolidWorks and exported it to Illustrator. Maybe it works with google-sketch-up too... that's freeware so fare I know.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Frosta is no longer available in the US, as are several other really cool Ikea products. This is a great hack and, if I could get my hands on the table, I would definately find a place for it in my home. The cat idea is a good one.

ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite of your FROSTA hacks. It is a piece if art! You should submit it to Ikea for their designer series. Then we will find it sold in their shops for 1000x the price of FROSTA original ;) Love this!

ReplyDeleteThis series of Frosta hacks are some of the best I've seen artistically since I joined Ikea-Hackers ~6 ms ago. Before that I'd never heard of a Frosta stool/table.
