Materials: Expedit Shelf (1×5), some wood and plastic milk-glass
Description: I’ve build a custom IKEA Expedit TV Rack. For perfect fit of my electronic components. I’ve modified the shelf with custom board arrangement.
The wall mounts of the Expedit were not strong enough to hold it at the wall. But a wooden piece which I painted white would hold it from the bottom side.
Some wooden boards are the material for the doors. I’ve glued it together with some flat dowels in the corners.
The plastic glass is in the rabbets of the wooden frame for perfect hold and fit.
So I created the perfect harmony between IKEA plastic furniture and good old wood.
