Awesome Vintage Hemnes
Materials: Ikea fabric, Hemnes, paint, vintage brass handles, spray glue
Description: Long time ago, I painted my Hemnes. But it looked a bit like a lego-toy, like plastic. I bought a can of spray glue, some Ikea fabric, and I stuck them to the dresser. I think it looks good.

Yes, but what makes it "vintage"? Isn't it now just fabric covered.

ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paint did you use?
ReplyDeletethat was a 2 in 1 paint for already painted wood. so you dont have to sand the dresser, you can just paint it.
DeleteIt would look nice in an all white room
ReplyDeleteAnna - i love the drawer knob colours.
ReplyDeletei bought them via ebay!
DeleteDid you wrap the fabric onto the sides of the drawers? If not, how did you finish the edges so they don't come up?
ReplyDeleteenough glue will do it
DeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteIf you decide to change the fabric later will the spray glue spoil the wood of the dresser if you tried to pull it out?
no, because i used as much i needed and not too much. a bit of sandpaper will do it.
Deletehi anna, I'd like to know what color paint you used? thanks :)
