Awesome Vintage Hemnes

Materials: Ikea fabric, Hemnes, paint, vintage brass handles, spray glue

Description: Long time ago, I painted my Hemnes. But it looked a bit like a lego-toy, like plastic. I bought a can of spray glue, some Ikea fabric, and I stuck them to the dresser. I think it looks good.

  1. Yes, but what makes it "vintage"? Isn't it now just fabric covered.

    1. that was a 2 in 1 paint for already painted wood. so you dont have to sand the dresser, you can just paint it.

  7. Did you wrap the fabric onto the sides of the drawers? If not, how did you finish the edges so they don't come up?

  8. Hi Anna,

If you decide to change the fabric later will the spray glue spoil the wood of the dresser if you tried to pull it out?

    1. no, because i used as much i needed and not too much. a bit of sandpaper will do it.
