Expedit 19" rack
Materials: Expedit, MDF 18mm
Description: I was planning to make a nice 19" rack with Expedit. But because the shelves are thin like paper, I had to reconfigure it.
What we've done: Making a sort of case with 18mm thick MDF, and put this in the Expedit.
Then there was some space left, and you see, with the original shelves, you can store your LP's.
Enjoy!

Where did you get the L-profile rack-mounting metal pieces?
ReplyDeleteHave looked around but not found anything similar online.
Various electronics vendors sell rack rails. Look especially for places that cater towards musicians and amateur recording engineer types. I've gotten some from Parts Express (www.partsexpress.com), for one example.
DeleteCompanies such as DigiKey and Mouser that are more aimed at electronic components for business buyers also often carry rack rails...at steep prices.
Hey,
ReplyDeleteHoe kom je nou aan die rails?
Want ik kan het niet vinden
Groeten,
