Killy Billy

Materials: Billy and chainsaw ;-) ?

Description: Killy Billy should be an eye-catcher especially for homes with other BILLY shelves.

The original shelf boards were broken over an edge by foot. Don’t use a chainsaw: the cut will be not rough enough!

Using the lengths of this broken boards the backboard was marked, cut with a pad saw, roughed with a hammer and enforced by a chipboard (8mm).

The completely bolted shelf may be mounted in different ways to a wall. The picture shows a stand alone resolution.

LOL!! Teasing IKEA with art and humor! That’s brilliant! (Obviously, not everybody does get that.)

Andreas, I’ve been to your website. Love it! It’s fun. It should be translated to proper English completely.

Love it! Made me laugh and I hope you love it as art and function! I’m with Mr OCD – I’d spend all my time trying to fix it up. Wouldn’t work for me but I really do appreciate the creativity and art.

This is horrifying. Way to wreck a nice piece of furniture.

Do you mean that the billy sheles are a really incredible and special piece of furniture? OMG, that could be the pricest furniture in your house maybe, but i think its a way to experiment and create, from a quite normal and really cheap piece of furniture

@Muriel, I’m sure the shelves are secured to the back board.

This is not for me, but kudos for the creativity and execution (heh). Thanks for sharing.

Totally wild! If I saw this at someone else’s house I would love it, but I still wouldn’t want it in mine :-)

If you like it though, more power to you! It’s very well executed

Clever! But oh man, my OCD would go into overdrive. Right now i really want to tidy up all the clutter on there, and it’s killing me inside. Just a little.

Did you reinforced the shelves ? Because I can’t see how they just hold without something to fix it on the broken end…
