Materials: 3 drawer pine wood dresser
Description: This is a 3-drawer pine wood dresser I bought at Ikea about 5 years ago. I don't think they sell them anymore, hence I couldn't find out the name.
My inspiration for this IKEA hack was the Illustration "3 Children Riding an Elephant" by Shinzi Katoh. I sanded the surfaces a little bit and applied a primer. Then I painted the dresser in the final colors.
For the numbers I created a stencil by simply printing them out on a sheet of paper. Then I cut the numbers out with a cutting knife, taped them on the drawer and used a piece of cloth to dab the white paint on top of the dried coat of paint. Voila! An old IKEA dresser got a fresh retro look.

Very cute! Sad that Ikea doesn't sell this dresser anymore. I don't like the new unpainted dressers nearly as much!

We have these drawers too - we got ours 15 years ago, so no idea of the name. Wish I'd seen your idea 20 years ago when my kids were little. We taped numbers onto each drawer so they could learn their numbers and help put washing away - tshirts goin drawer six, etc, functional, but your numbers are much more fun
