GALANT chopping board storage unit

Materials: GALANT desktop

We don’t have a lot of storage space in our kitchen and we were in need of a place to store all of our cutting/chopping boards. I took a GALANT desktop that I found in the “as is” section for 40 bucks and cut it into 5 pieces. Two side boards approx. 25×36 and 3 middle pieces approx 4×25.

I connected the pieces with regular wood screws. I wanted it to sit a little lower than our stove so it could double as a shelf for oil, seasonings etc. It has worked out great for us.

Did you have any issues cutting the table? What kind of saw did you use?

I’ve been thinking about building one of these for my kitchen a well. Looks great :) Thanks for sharing

Great idea. I think that this could also be used for the Pampered Chef-type stoneware that can be difficult to store, too. Ellen
