International Women's Day-cup in Norwegian style

Materials: Ikea coffee cup, transfer for ceramics

Description:
I love the I♥New York-campaign from the seventies. The 8th of march is the International Women's Day, and I wanted to make some cups for the day. Some cups I've made by the use of plastic foyl one can get at a hobby shop (goes into the oven in 180 degrees centigrade for 30 minutes). For the cup in the picture I made the logo in a word-document and sent it by email to a online ceramic store. They made the logo into a transfer, and put in on the cups and burnt them in my ceramic-oven (800 degrees centigrade).

I♥Likestilling (I♥Gender Equality, in Norwegian).

  4. Well, actually it says "I <3 equality".
Only thing that might actually hint in the direction of gender equality, is that is was made(for?) march 8th..

Sorry to be the one pointing out the mistranslation.

  5. Hi. I was wondering what website you used that created the transfer. Thanks!

  6. If you [heart] anything, especially with that typeface, you can thank the brilliant American designer, Milton Glaser. He's also responsible for the iconic color-hair silhouette DYLAN poster and many, many other images you will recognize instantly!
