Ikea full bedframe into garden bench

Materials: Ikea full bed frame, screws, a little wood glue, circular saw and a drill

Description: I found this bedframe on the street (complete except for hardware). I can't find the name of it on Ikea's website so I think it's a discontinued model. I cut the footboard down, attached the pieces as sides and completed the frame with a cut down side rail.

Then I cut and laid down six pieces of bed slats as a base (parallel to sides) and attached the remaining bed slats on top to form the seat. I held it together with screws, brackets and a little glue. I plan to paint it so that it can be outside year round.

  2. Bed is FJELLSE, my sister has it. Think it is still produced, it is the very lowest price of all the beds. She loves it though!
