If people are supposed to stand between the 2 sets of shelves, I see multiple problems:
    * customers will knock things down with their bags, elbows or purses.
    * The top left shelf seems to be dangerously close to falling because the right bracket is close to the edge.
    * People will knock their legs on the corner of the shelves and if they are sharp, it could be really painful.

In conclusion, nice realization but poor ergonomy.

We actually did something similar today. Suggestion: If you go to the kitchen dept and get a piece of table top for $50, cut and drill into the dresser so that 15 inches or so hang over to create more of a desk feel. So when you sit behind it you don’t have to lean over to write, but your legs will tuck under nicely.

I did this with an antique buffet… love having all the extra drawers for storage. I hadn’t thought about putting shelves in the back for more display.

    Thanks for sharing.
