Designed legs for IKEA Sofas & Beds

Materials: Karlstad sofa

Description: Finally :) Colourful, designed legs for IKEA Sofas & Beds.

~ Mikael, Stockholm, Sweden

Thank you, Michael! Pretty Pegs left me oohing and aahing. Finally, we’re not longer stuck with Capita legs for … beds, sofas, everything! I am already in love with their range of “swanky shoes” for furniture especially the oh-so-sweet Siri in pink (which I believe will totally give my Sultan bed a brand new look).

i just bought ikea capita leg, stainless steel 8 1/4. I want to know if those are to be used in a bed

Love the wacky Armadillo shoe-style legs… agree that they
re pricy but I’m tempted by the teak/brass style… Also, live in Sweden so shipping is free.

    Absurdly expensive. No thanks!

Great idea but quite expensive. Also I don’t like the fact that the pictures published in the post seem to be from the Pretty Pegs website. This whole post seems like an add to me.

Love these!!:) Im def getting a pair of yellow Astrid for my Besta TV-stand. And apparently they work for other brands as well (so I dont have to buy an IKEA sofa:)!!

  6. Nikki says:

WAY too expensive. I’ll stick with Uncle Bob.

They are very pretty but uhm, the rest of us broke folks will probably just DIY the ones from Pretty Pegs

So expensive! Not worth it, if I were to add the cost of the legs + shipping (and factor in wasting the original legs), I’d rather just go and spend the extra on a higher end sofa. There must be a huge mark-up on these… most of the styles (except for that upside-down trekkie one) are sold at my local hardware store. All you’d need to do is paint.

Well, they do look cool… but I’m not really willing to spend €100 on that kind of accessory. I’m looking forward to seeing someone hack this ;-)

I have to agree that the prices are crazy. I hope Ikea takes note of this and start coming up with more leg options. Keeping fingers crossed.

I’ll wait. Shipping to US is too expensive. Wonderful idea, though! Maybe I can cobble something together on my own.

You can buy the vintage looking legs at home depot in the lumber department with the brass caps already on them, stain them, and then use an angle mount

i love the legs, but at 120 Euro a set (and i’d need two sets), that’s almost more than my Karlstad cost on its own.

    I looooove those legs! :)
