Description: Buy a “Blanda Blank” salad bowl. Drill a hole in the bottom. Buy at your local wholesaler a cheap light bulb and mount it together.

    they’re amazing lampshades because the bowl is almost completely spherical in arc. that means that if you put a light source inside it, it’ll shine a very straight beam away from the shade/bulb. note the bright hotspots on the table directly beneath the lamp.

    i would imagine that they would serve as excellent RF collimators for folks looking to beam wifi over a great distance.
