Sewing/Crafting table with Basket storage

Sewing/Crafting table with Basket storage

Materials:
two Antonius Frame and Wire Baskets, Vika Amon Table Top

Description: This is a simple sewing/craft desk made with two Antonius Frame and Wire Baskets and the Vika Amon Table Top. I used four cable clamps and small wood screws per each Antonius frame to attach them to the table top after they were assembled. You could use brackets, but I found that the cable clamps were pliable and stretched over the frames to hold them on securely. Turn it over and it's done!

  1. How much weight can it support?

  2. The Antonius frames are surprisingly sturdy. Since they are closer than table legs together, they support weight pretty well. I have my sewing machine on top and it does just fine. I guess it would depend on what you were looking to place on top. I probably wouldn't sit on it ;)

    1. I'm sorry, the above dimensions are for the smaller tabletop. The one I used was the larger one:

  6. Did you just screw the wood screws directly through the cable clamps and directly into the bottom of the table top? I love this idea!

  7. Yes, I screwed the screws directly through the cable clamps into the tabletop. The table is made of particle wood, so they held well. Be sure to use short screws so you don't screw through the whole top. Thanks!
