Materials: Silicon, Antilop
Description I am a father of two and a graphic designer as a profession. Like most of families we own a Antilop highchair from Ikea. But to me it seemed a bit dull. So I came up with placemats that fits this highchair.
The placemats are made out of silicon and you can wash it either by hand or in the dishwasher.
The placemat comes in four different themes:
"Vegas Baby"- inspired by Las Vegas' Black Jack table
"Qu'ils mangent de la brioche" - inspired by Marie Antoinette
"Mum.. we got a problem" - space and aviation themed
"Just another breakfast" - bling for Audrey Hepburn fans

Wow! That is a great idea! Unfortunately we are beyond the age of highchairs with a little table, but had I known...
ReplyDeleteI am sure you could also print them (or have them printed) and laminate and cut to size. Not quite as neat, but maybe something anybody could do.
Or where can you have personalized silicone placemats have made?

ReplyDeleteThis highchair was just recalled today in Australia due to a defective buckle. All chairs sold since 2006 are recalled. Not sure about the rest of the world. I guess check the website.

ReplyDeleteBut oh man! I hate those flash-only sites. Was that really the only way of doing a 5-image slide show? So typical of graphical designers. (But then again, I'm a software developer, and I'd probably go equally overboard on a simple screen saver app....... ;-)

ReplyDeleteAnd not ALL of these high chairs have been recalled in Australia. Only a specific batch. The info is on IKEA's website.
IKEA Antilops are also recalled in Turkey.. But nice "hack"

ReplyDeleteYou could print it on adhesive for example.
