This is absolutely fabulous! I really do prefer this design over the original fabric. I would imagine due to the flexibility of the straps it's more comfortable to sit on. It would be great if you could get another few frames so you can have a set; either 2 or 4 would be gorgeous on a patio. ;)
Where'd you get the seat belt webbing from? I live around Ann arbor/canton anywhere close?
Amazing! How expensive is the seat belt material?
Thanks for your wonderful comments! I purchased the seat belt webbing on Ebay, $35 for 100 ft. Quite an affordable hack!
You are amazing!!! I love your creative juice flow!!! I want one now!! How long did it take to put together and how did you start the seat belt webbing flow?
I came across this wonderful project by accident but just so happens I work with a seatbelt company that actually sells seatbelt webbing: www.seatbeltplanet.com. And we SO need one of these chairs in our lobby!!!
Erika- any way you can give more details on how the straps are sewn/glued into place? Is special needle/thread needed? Did you use 100 ft of seatbelt for this, or it that just how much you ordered? THX Great project!
nevermind. I dont see where this chair is even produced anymore! missed the first post was 2010...
