Kitchen Pantry

Materials: Ikea Oven Unit

Description: Very simple but works great. I just took the Ikea kitchen oven cabinet and kept adding drawers. They are all 11 1/4" drawer fronts except the bottom which is the 12 1/2" front. Easy breazy.

  1. I like having more drawers in the kitchen, however, do you need a ladder to see in the top drawers or can you look in them easily?

  2. I love the idea of all the drawers too, especially next to the refrigerator, where you are often trying to reach for many things as you go in and out of the fridge. What is the area at the very bottom near the floor/toe plate?

    Great looking unit! Congrats!

  3. I'm also wondering how to look in the top drawer without a step stool..

  4. Drawers above eye level are never a smart idea.

  5. This looks great! I have a couple of questions:

These look like IKEA drawer fronts; where does one get drawers without the cabinet? What mechanisms did you use to mount these drawers?

  6. Perhaps the front on the top drawer could be converted to a flip-down door, like a breadbox.

  7. This looks cool. Is that a counter depth refrigerator??

  8. The 11 1/4" and 12 1/2" drawer fronts are only sold in sets. Did you find a way yo purchase the indivually?

  9. Adore your idea! Question about the 'side' of the cabinet - is there veneer to put on the side or is it still white/birch effect which appear to be the two options? I was hoping to try to get something to cover the sides so it doesn't stand out too much relative to the rest of the kitchen.
