Stylish Ribba Tool Display
Materials: Ribba photo frame
Description: I took a Ribba frame that was missing the glass from the as-is section, removed the picture and added a piece of peg board cut to fit in the frame. I used the backing board from the frame to trace the right size on the pegboard. Then I simply put the matte board in the frame then the pegboard and used the tabs already on the frame to hold it in place. To secure it to the wall I Screwed a piece of 1 x 2 MDF to the wall then hung the frame on it and screwed through the top of the frame into the piece of MDF. Added hooks and stylishly hung my tools!

Nice!
ReplyDeleteYou might consider outlining each tool and coloring in behind them - especially if you are going to do a couple of these hung together, it could add some color, make it look like a modern art piece, and make it easy to see at a glance which tools have gone wandering and where they need to be rehung.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
This is a fabulous idea, and so practical! My first thought was to do the exact same in my house for tools that I use often and don't want to go to the garage to get. But ALSO... what about for office supplies: scissors, stapler, hole punch, tape,... those are the things that wander off in my family. My wheels are turning now, thanks!
ReplyDeletemaking art of your everyday household tools -- very chic!
